The Zero Day Chase
// December 24, 2025
// Event Description
The digital frontier is compromised. A critical vulnerability—a Zero Day—has been detected, threatening the stability of our systems. This is not a drill. This is an immediate, high-priority operation to locate, identify, and contain the threat before it’s too late.
The CyberKavach Club is initiating The Zero Day Chase: A grueling, four-hour operational challenge that mirrors real-world Information Security investigations.
You will not be running from a monster; you will be hunting a ghost in the machine. This event demands intense focus, robust technical knowledge, and flawless team coordination. Are you prepared to stare into the digital Upside Down?
Mission Structure & Operational Phases
Your mission will proceed in two critical phases:
Phase 1: The Identity Chase
You must utilize expertise in cryptography, network forensics, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) to track and unmask an unknown entity responsible for the exploit. This is a high-stakes investigation requiring precision and speed.
Phase 2: The Treasure Hunt — Deep Dive Analysis
Once the identity is located, your team must neutralize the threat across three escalating levels of difficulty (Easy, Intermediate, Hard). Success hinges on your applied knowledge of Fundamental Information Security concepts.
The Elimination Protocol: The Jail Zone
This is an operational environment with real consequences. Three errors in the core phases will trigger immediate relocation to the Jail Zone. In this high-pressure containment area, only a single correct response can reintegrate you into the mission. Failure in the Jail Zone is Immediate Elimination. The clock is running.
